      <p>Depending on what WMTS server Rob has used, it may be possible
        to get an OSM/google tiles compatible URL from it (WMTS is
        overall fairly niche and a full implementation of it quite some
        work that would have to be sponsored for it to be considered). <br>
      </p>
      <p>The good news is that for exactly the same reasons as JOSM the
        next larger release of Vespucci has MVT support (including
        minimal Mapbox Gl styling). The beta is still a couple of weeks
        away because I need to do some unrelated work on supporting the
        transition to Android 11, but if you want to give it a spin I
        can make a test build available.</p>

            me wondering if we have a list of UK relevant tile servers
            and if it could be linked or available from the UK page on
            the wiki, like the third party data stuff? I'm primarily
            thinking tiles that help with editing but I guess it could
            include other UK specific 'maps'.<br>
