Dyke is the more common spelling in the UK. But there are a
number of <br>
place names, including street names, which use Dike. So when
mapping <br>
them, we do need to make sure we're using the correct spelling
and not <br>
simply assume it's the most common.<br>
<br>
But, of course, the choice of which spelling to use should be
based on <br>
on-the-ground evidence (eg, a street name sign) and/or open
data sources <br>
(eg, OS OpenMap Local, OS Open Names or older, public domain
OS maps). <br>
