<div dir="auto">It must be a local change. I think the outlying boxes in a collection area tend to have their last collection times revised downwards as the years go by, especially on Saturdays, but I don't think it's a systematic national change. I've been slightly obsessed with boxes in Yorkshire for the last five years but haven't seen such a sticker yet up here.<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">If you know a change is forthcoming you could set a note to remind yourself to update it at the changeover time.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Thanks for the info.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Regards,</div><div dir="auto">Paul</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Sat, 11 Feb 2023, 12:24 Andrew Hain, <<a href="mailto:andrewhainosm@hotmail.co.uk">andrewhainosm@hotmail.co.uk</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">

This particular round of changes may not be national. This has been done in the past in outer London: minor TW9 and TW10 (Richmond) postboxes have had new signs fitted, but HA5 (Pinner) retains stickers from some years back. Boxes by parades of shops typically
keep the extra collections.</div>

<b>Subject:</b> [Talk-GB] Royal Mail collection times changing - 20 February 2023</font>
<div> </div>
</div>
<div><font size="2"><span style="font-size:11pt">
<div>One of my local postboxes, in north Birmingham, has a sticker on the<br>
collection plate, reading:<br>
<br>
"Change to last collection time<br>
<br>
"In order to improve efficiency we're reviewing our mail collection<br>
arrangements and revising collection times.<br>
<br>
"From 20 February 2023, the final collection from this postbox will be<br>
made no earlier than 9am Monday to Friday and 7am on Saturday. The<br>
latest collection time for this area is shown on the postbox notice.<br>
<br>
"For more information please visit <a href="http://www.royalmail.c" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">www.royalmail.c</a> [obscured]<br>
contact our Customer Service Team on 03456 011399. "<br>
<br>
The current collection is 5:15pm, 11:30am on Saturdays, so it's a<br>
significant change.<br>
<br>
A photo of the sticker may be seen on Twitter (no sign-in required), at:<br>
<br>
<a href="https://twitter.com/pigsonthewing/status/1624376038510788609" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">https://twitter.com/pigsonthewing/status/1624376038510788609</a><br>
<br>
It's not clear whether this is a local change, regional, or national.<br>
<br>
Do other postboxes around the UK have them, do any not, and do any<br>
have different times? Or implementation dates?<br>
<br>
If it's a national change I'll ask for Street Complete to prompt for a<br>
re-survey on all boxes.<br>
