<div>The official categorization is "gyorsforgalmi utak" lit. express roads - including both motorways and expressways (tagged as 'highway=trunk').</div>

<div>There is also an official categorization within "főutak" (main roads), as primary and secondary main roads (all of them are 'highway=primary' in the OSM sense), connecting/link roads ('highway=secondary') and access roads ('highway=tertiary').</div>
<div>Fun fact: In the good old days, primary main roads were the "one-digit roads" and secondary main roads were two-digit. Now you can find even three-digit primary main roads.</div>
