<div>Hi all,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I joined OSM two months ago and mainly mapping Rishon Lezion area.</div>
<div>When I needed to make some decision regarding to mapping questions I mainly looked in other areas like Tel Aviv or asked specific people. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I was adviced to raise the questions in this mailing list, which I didn't know exists until yesterday.</div>
<div>I went over the archives and read the thread "convention for tagging roads" that Yuri started. Was there any final decision regarding it? I saw that all agree with it, yet didn't see final decision.</div>
<div>Also I have few more questions regarding mapping conventions and will appreciate your opinion on them.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>1. Does a street name should be prefixed with word like "רחוב" or "שדרות"? </div>
<div>I personally prefer that the name will not include this information, if this kind of information is important maybe a new tag should be added for it.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>2. Should we use full names for the streets or the most commonly used / known?</div>
<div>One example is: ז'בוטינסקי or זאב ז'בוטינסקי, where both names are known.</div>
<div>Second example is (street in Rishon): "גיסין" which is the known name or "דוד ואריה לייב גיסין", which is the full name but I don't think that anybody is familiar with this name?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>3. When a street is bi-directional and the direction lanes are saparated by traffic island ("אי תנועה"), does the map should have two separate route, one for each direction?</div>
<div>For streets saparated by traffic island, I currently create two routes one for each direction.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks,</div>
<div>Eli</div>
