<div dir="ltr"><div>Just my two cents:<br></div><div><br></div>This is the Indian government trying to reduce the spread of information that is non-conducive to national interests. <div><br></div><div>However, OSM can dispute that our freedom of speech is being restrained.</div><div>The honest counter to that is that we are entitled to freedom of speech and opinion, but also to bear the consequences of what we say. <br></div><div>If what we maintain as a divisive opinion to national interests regardless of who is in government, it puts us in a tricky place.. </div><div>Ergo: Google shows India oriented maps for requests from Indian IPs and China oriented maps for Chinese IPs. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Where does that leave us? </div><div>OSM is apolitical by nature and intends to stay that way. </div><div>So from the government's perspective, the collective opinion of a group of Indian and non Indian geography publishers (OSM) does tantamount as being non conducive to national interests. I think this leaves us in a position where we would be open for litigation. </div><div><br></div><div>Any thoughts?</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On 5 May 2016 at 22:15, Pradeep Mohandas <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:pradeep.mohandas@gmail.com" target="_blank">pradeep.mohandas@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><p dir="ltr">Hi,</p>
