<p>Gracias por informar sobre esta votación. No me queda claro
porque sugieren no usar esta etiqueta para las tuk-tuk, ¿a qué se
refieren con que son "<i>2-track</i>".</p>
<p>Personalmente, yo sí veo que la etiqueta podría ser usada para
las tuk-tuk (o caponeras, como les decimos en Nicaragua)
precisamente porque ello permitiría distinguirles de otros tipos
de acarreo o servicios de taxi, además que permite una mejor
integración con el esquema de transporte público.<br>

<p>Sugeriré una etiqueta adicional para distinguir entre el tipo de
amenity=motorcycle_taxi, como auto_rickshaw, bicycle_rickshaw,
animal_rickshaw o human_rickshaw.</p>
<p>En el caso de Nicaragua, hemos utilizado la combinación actual
con las tres etiquetas y además agregado una etiqueta autorickshaw=yes.<br>

Alguien comenta "no es necesario crear nueva etiqueta por cada tipo de
transporte, dado que cuando alguien quiere un taxi piensa en el
transporte y no en el tipo de transporte", en parte con razón, pero
pienso que también está el otro grupo que pide un taxi como servicio
turístico o por lo económico respecto al taxi en automóvil...
Ahora para diferenciar de un taxi en automóvil hay estas subetiquetas:
amenity=taxi + motorcar=no + motorcycle=yes

In many countries in Southeast Asia, Africa and elsewhere, motorcycles
are much more common than automobile taxi cabs. In these places,
motorcycle drivers wait at stands, often with a small shelter, and
they can be hired to take one or more passengers to various
destinations. A fare is paid for a one-way trip, usually after
negotiation. The passenger usually rides behind the driver on the same
seat.
I have already used this tag in Indonesia a couple of dozen times, and
I've also discussed it with a few mappers in the Phillipines, where
several different tagging systems have been used. This tag will be
easy to use and unambiguous.
Since motorcycle taxi stands are always at a somewhat different
location than motorcar taxicab stands and other hired vehicles, they
should each get a different node and tag.
The alternative of adding a subtag + amenity=taxi would be misleading
to current database users, who will expect a taxicab (motorcar) stand
with that tag
