<div dir="ltr">Yes, on the first example it gives to nodes and it adds highway=bus_stop to the node on the way.<div>Example one on the way:</div><div><a href="http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/984783569">http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/984783569</a></div>
<div>and next to the way:</div><div><a href="http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1065121311">http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1065121311</a></div><div><br /></div><div>I think this good as the way to go forward with this, especially since we focus mainly on mapping the points on the way (public_transport=stop_position). Especially since this is how the creator of the public_transport envisioned including it.</div>
<div><br /></div><div>highway=bus_stop is not that critical of a tag itself, because it has been replaced by the public_transport tags. But it is still useful as it renders on the map and including it allows older software which hasn't been updated to new tags to use it, as well.<br />

</div>What about highway=bus_stop? Should we use this tag for the node on<br />
the road or where the passengers wait? The wiki is not clear about<br />
this.<br />
<br />
Here the use of the tag for the place where passengers wait is<br />
recommended: [<a href="http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:public_transport%3Dstop_area" target="_blank">http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:public_transport%3Dstop_area</a>]<br />
<br />
And at the examples section of<br />
[<a href="http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Public_Transport" target="_blank">http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Public_Transport</a>]<br />
you see that it's used on the road (by noting the blue "icon" on the<br />
map).<br />
