It is a US based foundation, they've supported other organizations<br>
however that have been US based that have done work that have been<br>
very helpful to others abroad. Public Labs(1) is an example. Perhaps<br>
organizations from the US are more likely to apply because Knight is<br>
more famous there, I'm not sure.<br>

MapBox has been working to help people get started in OpenStreetMap<br>
all over the world for a while now as well.<br>
