<p>I would like to see an area tag named Marae.</p>
<p>The many Marae that I have been welcomed to have many discrete
elements within them. Eating, Meeting and Residential buildings
being the most common. Many now have medical centres. Less
common are burial grounds within the area. But Parihaka, Taranaki
is one such.</p>
<p>Not uncommon is a front palisade and a gathering area just before
it.</p>
<p>So there is a variety that a single point does not convey.</p>
<p>And, of course, they are found throughout the length and breadth
of Te Ika a Maui and more sparsely in Te Wai Pounamu<br>
</p>
<p>For the western side of the Wellington Region I can locate five
and I am sure there quite a few here I do not know.<br>
