We can use keep right (<a href="http://keepright.ipax.at/">http://keepright.ipax.at/</a>) and OSM Inspector (<a href="http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/">http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/</a>) to check for data inconsistencies, like duplicate nodes in a way, unconnected ways (or ways that are supposed to be connected but aren't connected or improperly connected), etcetera.
