I support this proposal. I also think that the current definitions
are too vague. There is a big variation in how they are being
interpreted by different mappers. The clear numbers in this proposal
would remove a lot of this ambiguity and could lead to a much more
consistent tagging scheme throughout the country. I think a more
unified approach to road classifications is now more important than
ever as the number of people contributing to OSM in the Philippines
is steadily rising.<br>

(population: 100k+); large non-expressway divided highways
with partial access control (overpasses/underpasses, U-turn
slots, closures of smaller intersections) and length of
>= 10km.</div>

smaller cities (population: <100k) and large
municipalities/towns (population: 100k+); major urban roads
traversing the city's urban area</div>
<div dir="auto">- Secondary: lightly traveled roads linking
small and medium-sized municipalities (population:
10k-100k); urban arterial roads linking >= 3
barangays/barangay clusters/districts without turns or
forks.</div>
<div dir="auto">- Tertiary: <span style="font-family:sans-serif">lightly traveled roads
between smaller municipalities (<10k); all other roads
connecting barangays in urban and rural settings.</span></div>
