Despite lack of documentation many if not most active mappers are
still using designation instead. This has become even more evident
after Eugene shared his <a href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Seav/LGUs" target="_blank">LGU
Proposal</a>. <br>

Since JAT86's re-tagging in December there are already more than
2000 new uses of designation.<br>
<br>
If it's okay with you I will transfer the place:PH documentation to
a subsection of designation and then propose re-tagging on the
mailing list.<br>
