Sounds very interesting. I'm not sure how the universities of Lisbon
are organized but I will work at the ISCTE-IUL (Instituto de
Telecomunicações).<br>
As architecture is your topic, you might be interested in 3D
building modeling?<br>
I had the pleasure to assist on the development of the "Simple 3D
buildings"-schema and did a bigger micromapping survey of a district

In Germany there is the FOSSGIS e.V. as a local OSGEO chapter. I had
a lose contact with them, as they are also responsible for OSM DE in

Oh thats interesting to know. Here in Germany,
the number of local meetings ("Stammtische") is
also decreasing. Maybe this is caused by the

Hmm, I think I will come back to that later,
when I'm in Portugal for real and see what the
existing features represent. I hope that I can
at least improve my very close neighbourhood or

internship at the university of
Lisbon.<br>

this period, and I like to ask, if
there is a local meeting or usergroup
somewhere, where I can post question?
I think most things are different from
how we map here in Germany, as road
classification, names, special
amenities etc.<br>
Maybe we can have some kind of
exchange, so we get a new point of
view, how other nations map and what
might be different there in real life
:)<br>
