 Hello.

Sorry for the delay, but I needed a little time to respond in detail. To
focus, I would put a specific example of a line called 101 SANTA CRUZ ->
PUERTO DE LA CRUZ in one of its directions. This line has three variants
that I'm going to call 1, 2 and 3 to differentiate them, these are the
codes of their stops:

Line 101 var 1:
9181, 37 more, 4202, 23 more, 4145, 4146, 7 more, 4154, 5089, 5090
note: Goes by Botanico Road

Line 101 var 2:
9181, 37 more, 4202, 23 more, 4145, 4193, 8 more, 4097, 5089, 5090
note: Goes by Las Arenas Road

Line 101 var 3:
4202, 23 more, 4145, ** 4193, eight more, 4097, 5089, 5090
note: Goes by Las Arenas Road and start at 4202 instead of 9181

I would like to show the differences between each of them and for that, I
had to look at the timetable. Although I did not intend at first to include
information about timetable, I have seen that with a few lines of code I
can generate very easily a operating_hours tag like this:

Line 101 var 1
operating_hours:
Mo-Sa 06:00; Su-Fr 20:30;
Mo-Su 06:30,07:30,08:30,09:30,10:30,11:30,12:30,
13:30,14:30,15:30,16:30,17:30,18:30,19:30,21:30

Line 101 var 2
operating_hours:
Su-Fr 14:00,15:00,16:00,17:00,18:00,20:00,21:00;
Mo-Sa 07:00,08:00,09:00,10:00,11:00,12:00,13:00;
Mo-Su 19:00; Su 06:00

Line 101 var 3
operating_hours: Mo-Fr 7:05

As you can see, var 1 operates roughly every hour from 6:30 and has 117
trips per week; var 2 every hour from 7:00 and has 92 trips per week; var 3
is a special service at 7:05.

The easiest way for me to differentiate the variants would be to include
this operating_hours tag. Otherwise I would have to examine each variant
one by one trying to find an explanatory text, or include each one as is
without differentiate relevance or meaning of each. I understand the
general objection due to maintenance difficulty of this tag, but how strong
are these objections actually?

Regards, Javier
