These are mostly related to road connections and routing - places where roads are very close but not connected, places where roads cross but don’t connect, and places where you can’t navigate into or out of due to missing connections or one way roads. The first one is probably easiest, but they are all similar.

* Tanzania Crossing Ways: https://maproulette.org/challenge/4113
* Tanzania Connectivity Check: https://maproulette.org/challenge/4114
* Tanzania Impossible Routing areas: https://maproulette.org/challenge/4112

Thanks!

Andrew

Andrew Wiseman | Maps | iPhone: +1.202.270.4464 | andrew_wiseman@apple.com

On Mar 7, 2019, at 2:14 PM, Andrew Wiseman via Talk-tz <talk-tz@openstreetmap.org> wrote:

Hello everyone,

I’m Andrew Wiseman with Apple’s Maps team. A while ago we started working on OSM data issues in Tanzania (https://github.com/osmlab/appledata/issues/62) and we recently used our Atlas data analysis tool (https://github.com/osmlab/atlas) to look at a few types of potential issues, such as building-road intersections, overlapping ways (usually duplicated roads) and road angles that are too sharp. I've posted the results of those checks on MapRoulette, a tool that lets you go through potential issues one by one and either correct them or indicate they are not a problem. I wanted to let you know they are available in case others wanted to try fixing some of them — I also plan to go through some of them myself.

In MapRoulette you can either pick a random task to fix or click on a specific one. If you want to do tasks around a certain location, such as somewhere you are familiar with, you can click “more options” then “load tasks by proximity.”

The checks are:

• Tanzania sharp road angles: https://maproulette.org/challenge/3805

• Tanzania building-road intersections: https://maproulette.org/challenge/3815

• Tanzania overlapping ways: https://maproulette.org/challenge/3804

Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback.

Thank you,

Andrew

Andrew Wiseman | Maps | iPhone: +1.202.270.4464 | andrew_wiseman@apple.com

_______________________________________________
Talk-tz mailing list
Talk-tz@openstreetmap.org
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-tz

_______________________________________________
Talk-tz mailing list
Talk-tz@openstreetmap.org
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-tz

_______________________________________________
Talk-tz mailing list
Talk-tz@openstreetmap.org
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-tz
