<pre>I've been following the OSM discussion about fixing old style polygons.
That's where the tags are on the outer way and should be on the relation
itself.
One fellow suggested an overpass-turbo <a href="http://overpass-turbo.eu/" target="_blank">http://overpass-turbo.eu/</a> script to
locate problems.
I tested it in MA and found 265 problems between Worcester & Waltham.
They are pretty simple to fix in JOSM.

Open JOSM
Go to <a href="http://overpass-turbo.eu/" target="_blank">http://overpass-turbo.eu/</a> in your browser
Scroll the slippy map to a known location.
Paste the following script into the window on left.
relation({{bbox}})
[type=multipolygon]
(if:count_tags()==1);
(._;>;);
out meta;
Select "Run"
I picked an area between Worcester & Waltham and found 265 polygons that
need work
select "Export"
select "JOSM"
They polygons will load in JOSM (if you have remote control enabled)
In JOSM
Select the outer way of a polygon.
Copy the tags (Edit Menu-Copy Tags).
Select the polygon relation.
Use the "+++" icon to paste the tags into the relation.
Go back to the outer way and select the tags and click the trash can to
delete them.
Upload the data. My comment is "fixing old style polygons"
Please let me know if you know any shortcuts.
