Hi,

There was a duplicate relation for the Lynn Woods Reservation, so I removed the newer one and corrected the tagging on the older one. To be clear, that's a boundary, not land cover. The land cover has not yet been mapped (other than the water bodies, some wetland areas, and a few bare_rock areas that I added. I would encourage you to go in and map the wooded land cover as well (but don't add this tagging to the boundary).

I'm sorry these explanations aren't clear, and I'm happy to answer questions.

In short:

- Boundaries are tagged as boundaries

- Land cover is tagged as land cover for the actual parts of land covered by the type of land cover

- Multipolygon relations are composed of inner and outer ways, and no other types

On Tue, Jul 19, 2022 at 8:58 AM <hobbit@techno-fandom.org> wrote:

Y'know, Brian, if you really want to encourage good-faith mappers to learn,
you would do a little better on the mentoring side rather than just going
around trashing their attempts to be helpful. If you've seen any of my
interactions on the help forum you'd understand that I really have been trying
to understand how areas and relations work, and what models I've been trying
to follow as examples.

If I tried to map the actual woods in that same area for a landcover polygon,
would you then come along and delete that too? That's all I'm really after,
making woods represent like woods for all "data consumers". Answers I've been
getting from people have been about 60% confusing, and 40% hints of what to
try and hunt down to read, so this is NOT easy for someone trying to grasp
even the rudiments of what you've been living for a decade or more.

Please understand.
