I found a case where TIGER has the base and suffix in the wrong place: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/9965891/history Judging by nearby streets, the name should be West Avenue E. But TIGER has it as W Avenue East (and the script ignored the TIGER subtags and improperly expanded it to West Avenue East).
