I'm curious how ArcMap OSMEditor became the tool of choice.
Has there been significant thought put into using a single
organizational username for this whole manual mass-edit, using OAuth
authentication on the clients to avoid revealing the password to
Uhh.... Why is that a good idea?

I think the way they're doing it now is fine. If anyone really wants to
keep track of what the Trimet folks are doing as a group, they can use
the existing tools to look at the Portland area. Or, they can just join
the RSS feeds together.
I think that someone has brought this up before, but I forget what
happened.

Can we get the United States Postal Service (USPS) address database? It
would still take some adjustments, but this would be a lot easier than
driving every street and finding the numbers. A lot of house numbers
are hard to find. The cops may be called if we go around "casing"
houses.

With the database we can just align them with houses/buildings. We'll
only have to go to places where something doesn't line up.
It's expensive and it has an incompatible license.

The former might be workable, the later isn't.
