Nathan,<div><br></div><div>Relation support is already there. osm2pgsql already builds geometries for route relations. It's just that the current Mapnik style doesn't put shields on them or render them in a visible way. If you want to solve this problem then submit a patch for the Mapnik style -- perhaps using rweait's examples as a starting point.</div>

I encourage anyone with Mapnik coding experience to read through <a href="http://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/2675" target="_blank">http://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/2675</a> , especially my suggestion for multiline shields. I may be wrong, but it seems that this would be easy to implement, and would be strictly better than the current setup where very few overlaps display.<br>
