<p>We've had luck in the past in Washington DC with contacting friends in the press. The Washington Post came to a mapping party last year. I think key is having more events, having them at fun places help. For example we mapped the National Mall for the Washington Post piece. I think reporters are more likely to cover a specific event than OSM just in general.</p>
<p>Groups interested in education also have been good so far as well. As well as local hiking and biking groups. Key is someone has to go talk to them.</p>
