<p>I'd vote for introducing a new tag, that is highway=ferry_link, rather than trying to use an existing one that does not describe the object correctly. There used to be and there will be disputes on this topic unless we have it fixed. Introducing a new tagging scheme will cause some issues for a while, but on the long run it would work better, I believe. <u></u><u></u></p>
