conditions and performance of roads in their respective states. This data is used to calculate future funding for the transportation system as a whole.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D">There are three data items related to this topic being Shoulder Type, Left Shoulder Width and Right Shoulder Width. I have provided a description of each below
which can be found in a larger document called the HPMS Field Manual <a href="http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/policyinformation/hpms/fieldmanual/chapter4c.cfm">
