<div>Normally when I see maps on the web based on Ordnance Survey data, or in publications, there is a copyright notice that says "(c) Crown Copyright. All Rights Reserved. License No. ABC123XYZ" so wouldn't something along the lines of "(c) Open Street Map 2006. Some Rights Reserverd." There is also a small piece of HTML that you can down load from the CC website (I couldn't find the locale neutral version) Here's what it looks like for Scots Law:

<div>However, The biggest different I could see between the Scots Law version and others is a section on "Derogatory Treatment" - The Scots Law licence does not permit it. Sorry, I'm going off on a tangent.</div>

<div>Back to the point. I think a simple copyright statement with a link to the relevant license (as in the above HTML - but the locale neutral version) is all that is needed. There can be some text embedded in the image with a copyright notice also.
