Can anyone enlighten me as to who/what is responsible for the segment construction in London, in particular, Bloomsbury?

I've just deleted a route across Russell Square park - which, being charitable, might have been an attempt at a footpath, though it didn't match any of the actual marked footpaths in the park, and, more significantly, wasn't substantated by any raw GPS traces from the database. While slightly surprised by that, I then almost immediately found a meandering route through London University Senate House nearby, which again doesn't correspond to real life (there is a path through the complex, but it's private, and doesn't go that way)
I've tonight just deleted yet another street adjoining Heathcote Street off Grays Inn Road, which neither exists in real life, nor in the GPS traces of OSM. What's going on?

And yes, I suppose you could say the system is working, as I'm picking up mistakes, but there's a lot more than I expected, and I'm being forced to remap the whole area as I don't really trust ANY of the data now.

Can someone (Steve?) enlighten me? Were these streets all put in by some algorithm off the e-courier data?

I know another user has similar issues in another part of London.

Apologies if I've upset anyone :-)
