If this guides the user on style, tags, copyright etc then it seems like the one for the mainstream. (Will it make me swap from JOSM? :-)
<br><br>I think this is more of a software manual than an OSM manual. I was thinking of something to get a fingerhold on the whole subject so you can explore one avenue. Just one client is the right way forward though, IMO.
<br><br>I really like the clean three-panel layout of the alternative front page. This is like the best documentation - it's just there waiting for you out of the corner of your eye. You have long enough to take in the information, the images tell you what you're looking at as an instantly recognisable section heading. Also, it's answered your questions before you knew you wanted to ask, but didn't try to start by telling you everything. It's also intriguing - What are those strange dots? Is she safe down that alley with an expensive GPS? ;-)
