I was about to post a question about the JOSM way-splitting tool, which refused to go from greyed out to anything else, but then I downloaded a newer version of JOSM.  I was sure I only updated it about 2 days ago, but this seemed to fix it. 
<br><br>Anyway it got me thinking that the About button should be on the app so we can see the build number.  Now I see it is, over in the right-hand corner.  Duh.<br><br>So now I don't have any reason to post, except to say Thanks :-)
