Hi,

Until now in order to create a way of X nodes, we have to do the following:
1. create nodes. (X clicks)
2. create the segments (X click and drag)
3. select all segments and create the way. (now it is easier with select objects in a straight line)
4. enter way tags.

This is process is acceptable in city mapping where a way might not exceed 20 nodes.
But I have been traveling lately on to a place in mountain, and unlike the motorway, I have to create a node for every 10 meters.

So I propose for next release or maybe as an addon to reverse the process to the following:
1. Click on create new way button.
2. Enter way tags (name, highway, oneway ...)
3. JOSM will create the way and on the next click (not dragging) the next segment and the next node.

I think it is more logical for new user to start with the way information and finish with the nodes than start the other way around,

If I knew how to program java I would have made the addon myself, I am sure it's much fun than clicking 1000's of node and segments,
