<html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:times new roman,new york,times,serif;font-size:12pt">I thought "This week on the OpenStreetMap list..." was such a good idea<br><span><a target="_blank" href="http://www.opengeodata.org/?p=78">http://www.opengeodata.org/?p=78</a></span><br><br>Personally, when I get busy, there's no way I can follow all the discussion. <br>There are many many people out there involved and interested in OSM, but can't keep up.<br><br>And that's too bad, cause there's real juicy detailed discussion and knowledge in there. <br>New editing conventions, techniques, tools, ideas, areas, events.<br><br>The OpenGeoData blog is good for highlighting big news, and the featured images good<br>for watching progress but the detailed nuggets are getting lost. (Is there an GeoRSS feed<br>for the featured images, btw?).<br><br>"This week on " solved this problem by providing a 10000 foot view on our
community.<br>It also makes the community more accessible to new contributors. But I guess it only<br>ran for one week!<br><br>So this is a call out for some motivated, list engaged, clear writing individual, to take on this on.<br>I know it's a big job .. so I offer to pay the flight to Manchester for State of the Map to whoever<br>fully takes this on.<br><br>-Mikel<br></div></body></html>
