<br></blockquote></div><br>I (and some others in the OSM community) have been working with some Google engineers on this for quite some time (1.5 yrs). There is significant interest in opening the data, but they are having problems getting the time to do it. I imagine the map team (those that are interested) is quite busy as Google Maps is one of the more popular products at Google.<br>
