This issue has cropped up with Wikipedia too. The view there is that even though the copyrighted material is still available in the wiki page history, this should not be a big concern. Deleting the material from the current version of the page means that there is an intent to remove the infringing material. But if necessary, then sysads can really delete the offending data in the database.<br>
