Hello Kate,<div><br></div><div>We've discussed the issue of the dates you've mentioned, but we have decided to stick with the date mentioned.</div><div><br></div><div>Reasons:</div><div>- It's the same weekend as this year (and last year)</div>
<div>- The week before the weekend, the Girona University already had a series of summer-OS GIS-workshops planned. To give attendees the possibility to also go to these workshops, was a strong reason to stick with the dates.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I can understand you would have to choose for Wikimania. Maybe next year we should compare dates with both conferences before we both decide on dates.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>Henk Hoff</div>

</div>What are the proposed dates for the SOTM conference? I have seen<br>
July 9-11 proposed, though have seen other dates.<br>
<br>
Those are the same dates as the Wikimedia conference (Wikimania) 2010<br>
in Poland, so people who have interest in both projects would have to<br>
chose between SOTM and Wikimania. I would have to choose Wikimania,<br>
because of my involvement there. :(<br>
<br>

<br>
I'm hoping the dates are not in conflict, though if they are close<br>
together (combine a trip to Europe), that could work.<br>
