The newest Android Phone I tried was the HTC Legend.<br>
It supports

<span id="intelliTXT">Pinch to Zoom</span> but no Multitouch in Browser
(Android 2.1)<br>

It's not a hardware problem. Even the HTC Hero hardware is able to

the position of more than one finger.<br>
There are also Apps that supports Multitouch, but not the Android
Browser.<br>
