<div dir="ltr">I think it's mostly because of its popularity and the second thing is that MapMaker seems easier to handle than the OSM editing tools. <div><br></div><div style>I read about this a few minutes ago and as I  compared GMaps with OSM i couldn't stand that they mapped the party founding monument more precisely. So I decided to change this. =)</div>

I still wonder why volunteers would contribute to a closed map instead of an open map. I agree Google is good in PR for Mapmaker. The question is how we will have good PR for OSM, with the goal to attract more active mappers. This might be a challenge for the CWG though. First brainstorm idear from this non-CWG-er: invite some magazines to compare Mapmaker to OSM<br>
