Is this new consensus in the community to make copyright violation too easy?<br>

The JOSM code was added as a reaction because users had been copying from google aerial imagery, claiming it being legal and ignoring OSM consensus.<br>

When it did not work in the past to tell people "don't use it", why do we expect it to work now?<br>
<br>
I would like to hear more opinions in probably take another approach at the iD developers in case we want to have it blocked.<br>
<br>
On a side note, adding the right tag in the changeset does not work. A changeset with google maps used as imagery is having this tag: "imagery_used = Bing"<br>
<br>
For custom imagery I suggest to include the used URL, so at least we know what was used.<br>
