I'm interested in opinions on whether it's acceptable there's no
direct OSM attribution. <br>

I'm no expert in licensing, but I presume the 'MIT' bit isn't
related to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Is it compatible
with OSM's license? <br>

If you click on the Leaflet attribute, right at the bottom of the
page it states: Maps © <a href="http://openstreetmap.org/copyright">OpenStreetMap</a>
contributors. To me, that's not good enough.<br>
