Search and routing. Part of the issue with the main website -> it's a monolith, encompassing many different components. Sign up & authentication, messaging and communication, data exploration, the API. Andy Allan has been doing great work lately to make development on the rails app cleaner and more approachable. In fact, what<br clear="none">you're describing is something I've been actively trying to combat<br clear="none">with openstreetmap-carto. Our project has added 8 maintainers, 4 of<br clear="none">which have been added over the past two years. Also in the last two<br clear="none">years, 22 people have contributed code through pull requests.
