I am unable to find information on the good practices to translate wiki <br>
pages with templates. I tried to do that on a page <br>

but translating a paragraph resulted in a translation of the english <br>
original template.<br>

I am looking for a "basic" information concerning mistakes to be <br>
avoided, and the best way to do the translation of a template :-)<br>
