<p>Good news everyone, I was able to load data into a PG database using the <a href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/osm2pgsql/pull/76" class="issue-link" title="Use fillfactor 100 for non-updatable imports">#76</a> build from the cygwin build.  I did still get the connection issue, but at least all the data loaded from the app perspective.  The osm2pgsql even though it finished, the program never returns to the DOS prompt.</p>

<p>I also did encounter another issue with --flat-nodes, when flat nodes is set the node file suddenly becomes 15gb in size, then osm2pgsql crashes.  It doesn't matter the size of the OSM file.  I got this running a 3 MB OSM file.</p>
