area is importing what looks like thousands of nodes per tile.
Even straight ways have hundreds of nodes.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The above tile in particular crashes xmlstarlet - I
assume because of the excessive number of nodes in the tile. I can't
believe this is good for the osm database either. Is there some kind of
script or something semi-automated that can be run on these tiles to clean them
up so we can render them? I imagine it would take quite some time to do by
hand.</FONT></DIV>
