Do I have to initiate the z12 captionless rendering myself? I see z12 tiles rendered on <a href="http://tah.osm.org">tah.osm.org</a> (<a href="http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/?x=976&y=1468&z=12&layer=tile">http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/?x=976&y=1468&z=12&layer=tile</a>), but z11 shows the "unknown type" tiles (<a href="http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/?x=488&y=734&z=11&layer=tile">http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/?x=488&y=734&z=11&layer=tile</a>).<br>

</div>I think this are different problems. In your example it seems that the<br>
captionless z12 tiles are not rendered yet. So a z8 tile is generated<br>
with a lot of little "unknown type" tiles in it. In my example the<br>
whole z8 tile is an "unknown type".<br>
