We have these in Finland. To be more precise, we have the /\ symbol and then an O which isn't closed at the bottom but it doesn't have any extra lines. You can see these by going to <a href="http://www.retkikartta.fi/">http://www.retkikartta.fi/</a> and zooming to max almost anywhere.<br>

replaced them by more intuitive ones.<br>
