The main no-go for that is that there is currently no section on Potlatch / iD editing, which is arguably what most newbies will start out with. This is due to LearnOSM being designed with HOT use cases in mind, where online editing is not an option.</div><div><br></div><div>In a later stage, after we launch the new welcome message, we will look into carrying over some of the content of the FLOSS manual to LearnOSM and make it a better resource for everyone, not only HOT.</div><div><br></div><div>If anyone wants to start doing that now, that's great of course!</div><div><div>

To avoid confusion, we have been talking about two different types of welcome messages lately. This one is the message that everyone gets immediately after signing up for OSM. Then there's the welcome message that users would get after they made their first edit, which requires more work (both technical and on the process side).<br>
