Hi,
I would like to know if there is any plan of adding some crossdomail.xml
on various OSM "API" domains. Any flash developper that wants to use OSM
datas need to use a "proxy".
You may know the openscales project is an Open Source (LGPL) mapping
framework based on ActionScript 3 and Flex and if you took a look at the
demos based on OSM datas, you'll see that it uses au "proxy.php" script
to be able to access OSM (a|b|c).tiles.openstreetmap.org datas.
Adding a crossdomail.xml on any domains giving access to OSM "API/datas"
would be great for flash developpers that want's to use OSM datas.
For example, if you try to load
http://www.openstreetmap.org/openlayers/img/404.png in a flash
application you'll geat a "SecurityError: Error #2123" because Flash
can't find "http://www.openstreetmap.org/crossdomain.xml".
Here is an example of crossdomain.xml allowing any flash applications to
acces openscales.org: http://openscales.org/crossdomain.xml
You may find more informations on that webpage:

Simon L.
