Hi All,

I would like to gather feedback from the group on creating reusable HTML 5 widgets for use in web-based applications.

My goals are as follows:

1. Use as much open data as possible.

2. Use as little bandwidth as possible.

3. Use ARIA live regions to announce street corners and crossings.

4. Provide turn by turn navigation with rerouting.

5. Have optional visual maps. Note: These can come later and the user should be able to enable or disable them at will to conserve bandwidth.

6. Announce a selectable list of points of interest, such as coffee shops or grocery stores.

7. Work across IOS at first, then expanding to Windows 8 and Android, with any other platform being considered as the need arises.

Please provide any feedback you think may be valuable to this project, either on list or via direct E-mail contact.

Regards,
Alex,
