[Accessibility] OpenStreetMap Pointer Gestures - Accessibility Question

Hi there,

I have some questions I am hoping you can answer. We are currently doing an accessibility audit of our site in order to update our VPAT documentation. Specifically, we have an OpenStreetMap plugin on our site and are looking to make sure we are compliant with WCAG standards.

For conformance criterion 2.5.1 (Pointer Gestures)<https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/pointer-gestures.html> we have noted that in looking at a map within an iframe, we see that most path-based gestures can be operated with a single pointer. For example, instead of pinch-to-zoom behavior, the user has the ability to use + or – buttons as an alternative for zooming in and out of the map. This is great.

However, the one area we were hoping you could illuminate further is whether or not there is an alternative for drag gestures that are used to move the visible area of the map. Right now, it appears that the only way to move the map within the frame is with a drag gesture, but perhaps there is an alternative we don’t know about?

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Also - let me know if this question is better suited for someone else / a different email.

Thanks in advance!
