Nick, I agree with you 99.999%, if only you hadn't slipped formats in that
list of itches to scratch. I'm almost certain that people who think their
itch is this or that XML format are actually using it as a proxy for their
real itch (drawing things nicer, showing changes, annotating things
better, etc).
I don't think I can make it any clearer.
