[Openstreetmap-dev] Strange data allowed?

Hi,

When importing GPX, what do the server do with such GPX data:

- A segment without track points
- A segment with only one point
- A track without any segments
- A route without any points (are routes imported?)


Regardless of the structure, should it be possible to import:

- tracks without any line segments
- tracks which contain the same line segment more than once
- line segments that are not part of tracks (not possible in GPX)
- line segments with the same point as start- and end-point


About areas (not implemented yet). Should it be possible to have:

- areas with fewer than 3 points
- areas which points are in a straight line
- areas with the same point more than once
- self-overlapping areas
