Hi,
i would like to (have)change(d) some things in osm-pdf-atlas and wanted to ask
if you think this is good ond/or ok. So please tell me what you think about
these and if these changes go ok with you.
If so it would be great if someone could help me with some of these changes;
so if you'd like to help with one of these things, please tell me.
One Config File per PDF:
For one thing I want to put all configurations which normally differ between
two pdf files into one Config File. So we would normally only have one
configfile for one pdf file. This would make it much easier to generate more
pdf Files automatically.
Define Output Directory:
Define an output Directory (in config File and commandline) to be able to
update a directory on a webserver and not have the results inside your svn
directory.
Update only option:
add an option which checks for modification dates of: config files,
planet.csv, ... and only creates the pdf if one of these have changed.
Calculate Area autmagically:
Getting all subareas to be displayed I think it should be easy to calculate
the complete coverage of this particular pdf-atlas. This way you wouldn't
have to mess arround with another line in a second config file to switch
between different pdf-atlas files.
Combine Title and Overview:
add the overview to the title page. This way it is much easier to get an
overview of all your pdf-atlas files. You simply do
'convert osm_atlas_xy.pdf osm_atlas_xy.png'
and have a resulting png image of your Titlepage which includes the Title text
and an overview of the shown area.
Overview Page:
Add more content to the Overview Page. Currently it seems that we only can see
the borderlines and the rectangles of the subpages on the Overview. This
makes it somewhat a little bit difficult te recognize the area if you only
have want to show a small area.
Add Index script:
Add a small script (maybe expand create.sh) which creates a pdf atlas from all
Config/places-*.txt and then also does convert ... to make small immages and
put a html page arround it.
Eliminate Source Code from Wiki:
Since all the source is in SVN I'd like to remove all copies of the source and
config files from the wiki. This way we are shure we all work on the same
Version.
